Solar Eclipse Time-Lapse!
 gary palmer | March 26, 2006
While some enthusiast are positioning themselves in the direct path of totality, many more are in line to observe a partial eclipse. It doesn't matter which path your on as each time our moon glides in front of our star it’s exciting. On June,10th 2k2 Los Angeles experienced a partial solar eclipse. With sunspots 9991, 9985, & 9987 in plain view our moon traveling at 2400 mph took 2 hours and 20 minutes to pass in front of our star. Here's a time-lapse of that event. (Note the first quarter moon phase is just shown for "effect" as we are all familiar with the silhouette.)
