 Scott Roberts | August 4, 2005
Don't miss the chance to attend a free lecture by David Levy on August 13th, 2005 at the First Annual Southern California Astronomy Expo! David will entertain the audience with "A Nightwatchman's Journey - My Life and Times as a Comet Hunter" at 1:00PM, and will do an encore performance later that afternoon at 4:00PM. David's talk, co-sponsored by Meade Instruments, is the highlight of SCAE's Seminar Symposium, which takes place at Oceanside Photo & Telescope in San Diego County, California. He will be joined by such noted speakers as Steve Edberg, Gary Palmer, Daniel Phillips, and Tim Cann...a tour de force that promises to enlighten and entertain all those who attend. The Symposium begins at 10:00AM, and runs through 8:00PM. There will be a free pizza lunch, courtesy of Oceanside Photo & Telescope and Killer Pizza From Mars, at 2:00PM. An observing session will follow the Symposium, and will run until approximately 10:00PM.

Scott Roberts will introduce attendees to the Meade 4M Community at 5:00PM
The Southern California Astronomy Expo continues the following Saturday, August 20th, with a huge Telescope Demonstration Convention. Meade Instruments will be there, along with over twenty other manufacturers from the telescope industry. Meade will be introducing the 4M Community to everyone in attendance, provide hands-on demonstrations of the latest Meade equipment, and give away a ETX-125 PE...one of the grand prizes in the SCAE Giveaway Raffle, taking place at 6:00PM that evening.

The SCAE Telescope Demonstration Convention will take place at Oceanside Photo & Telescope. Festivities will get under way at 10:00AM and will run through 10:00PM.
