NGC 253 The Sculptor Galaxy

This Southern hemisphere galaxy is located in the Sculptor Galaxy and is the brightest and closest of the Sculptor group. At a distance of 11 mly, it is a Starburst galaxy with higly active regions producing frequent super novae.
