Is it possible to use a f/3.3 on an APO 80 without getting a coma?

The 3.3 focal reducer will coma.
There is a lot less coma if you use it with no extensions at all but coma is still evident.
You can use the 6.3 focal reducer with good results.

How do you attach the 6.3 focal reducer to the APO 80?

On mine I use the t ring adapters I received with the 3.3 reducer on the camera side.
On the scope side I used the sct to 2 inch adapter i recieved with the LX200R.
You will need the t ring adapter for either focal reducer to connect to the imager.
And the SCT to 2 inch adapter for the scope side of the reducer.

Hi,

I just bought a used Televue field flattener (TV-85) for little apo. I think this is needed for imaging. I took a picture about a subject without flattener http://osci.extra.hu/meade80/meade_test1.jpg  and with flattener too : http://osci.extra.hu/meade80/flattener.jpg . You can see the difference int the left side of the brick . In the first picture there is a blur part in the left side. But in the second picture the same place is nice. Therefore i think flattener is needed for correct imaging.
