I am seriously considering buying the Meade 80mm, EDO APO.  The one thing that gives me a little concern is the focuser.  For those of you who have worked with the scope, what do you think?  One of my other options is the Orion EON 80mm ED.  I'd give up something on the optics, but get a dual speed focuser.

IMO the Meade 80 mm APO is a nice scope.
Since I got mine I sold my Megrez 80 mm as i didnt use it any more.
I have had no focuser issues at all on this scope.
All of my latest images have been shot with the Meade 80 mm  and it is one of my favorite imaging scopes.
You can view all of my images on my web site.

Mark:

Thanks for your insights.  As we lawyers say, "your images speak for themselves."  I also watched Matt's video review and he was quite positive about the scope.

Bill,
Im more than sure you will be very happy with it.
If you plan on just using it for imaging you dont need to spend the extra for the Diagonal.
But if you want to use it visually also Get the diagonal.
