Hello everyone,

I've received a lot of help from numerous Meade 4M forum members and have appreciated the time many have taken to simplify difficult procedures into something I can understand. Knowing what it's like to start off with zero understanding I thought I'd try to help others learning astro imaging with a website I've started. I only began it in May and I'm adding to it as often as I can.

If anyone's new to using an LX200R then I'm hoping you might find some parts of the website of use. In it I've posted a section called Using the LX200R in which I've added a few methods I use that help when getting started.

I've also added a section called Guided imaging and there are two sections within it that might be of use, Guiding with the LX200R (using a DSI as the guide camera), and Connect LX200R to AutoStar.

Anyway, these tutorials are really aimed at the beginner as I've written step-by-step guides with screen-shots to aid understanding. They are comprehensive guides and I wish I'd have found something similar when I was starting out as it's a very steep learning curve when you're trying to figure it out alone.

I live in Polegate, East Sussex, England and the site is called Sussex Astro Imaging although the website address is;-

www.astro-mo-fo.com

Please take a look if you get a minute. There are a number of images on there but as you'll see I've still got a lot to learn. Anyway, I hope you like the site and find it of use. If you've got any suggestions on how to improve the site or think I should add anything, or I've got something wrong then I'd be interested to hear.

Thanks again to all of you who've helped me get this far!

Take care and clear skies!

Justin

I realise my website address might not be to everyone's taste. It was only meant as a little light hearted fun but it's already been automatically blocked by another forum's censoring software so my site can now also be accessed by;-
