Good question.....are you talking into account the optics turning the eyepiece image left for right....ie...mirror image?  It normally wouldn't bother you if looking at a planet, or star or galaxy....we don't have a concept of up, down, left or right on those.  But we're used to seeing the moon as it's seen in our sky and from our perspective.  Most photos are shown like we like to see it....Enjoy it even if it is backwards....george

What is a good CCD Image Camera for Meade ETX-LS 6 ACF The camera they support doesn't look though the telescope, I need a CCD camera that can look thorught it  I know there are camera's you can hook up to telescopes somehow, and use the Laptop With USB CCD
Should have Asked this question

I still use the Meade DSI color though there are newer models out now.  You can buy the older ones like mine on Astromart.com almost all the time.   It's easiest to use a camera if you have a "flip mirror" which allows you to switch back and forth between the eyepeice and the camera.  You can adjust it so you see what the ccd chip "sees" and will show on the computer screen through the usb port.  You can get a flip mirror on astromart also or new from almost any telescope on line vendor.....have fun....george

ps...you'll get faster answers to your questions if you start a new thread when you have a new questions and the really good guys are happy to work with you....

The ccd camera used by the ETXLS is a wide field ccd camera mainly used by the telescope to find its location in relation to the stars. It DOES NOT take the image through the telescope. If you are looking for a color ccd camera the DSI III is the one to go for. I saw one earlier on tonight on http://www.astrobuysell.com/
Might still be there if you look.
