I recently had an opportunity to use my Solar filter on my 6" refractor with my daughter's 3rg grade class mates. I had beautiful clear skies to view the Sun with.

I also had a great selection of handout materials from NASA's "Night Sky Network", http://nightsky.jpl.nasa.gov/index.cfm

That I was able to hand out to the classes. It included instructional DVDs for the teachers and posters, postcards, bookmarks, buttons, pins, stickers, and more all about the Sun and NASA's current Sun related projects.

Here are some pics of the kids enjoying the handouts.....

If you belong to an astronomy club you should seriously look into signing up for the Night Sky Network and use their materials in your public outreach events. NASA is a serious partner in the astronomy hobby!
The Night Sky Network also has member features that help notify and track upcoming events regionally, nationally, and locally.
