Once upon a time there were 1024 monks who lived in a monastery. Every night 512 of them slept in the monastery, while 512 worked outside on the fields and they swapped during daytime.
One day a bloke smoking a pipe in the nude on a llama came along and asked if he could stay the night.
The monks, being charitable, let him but in the morning the monastery had been burnt down and the bloke smoking a pipe in the nude on a llama was seen disappearing into the distance .

The remaining monks decided to build a cathedral.
Every night 128 of them slept in the cathedral, while 128 worked outside on the fields and they swapped during daytime.
One day a bloke smoking a pipe in the nude on a llama came along and asked if he could stay the night.
The monks, being charitable, let him but in the morning the cathedral had been burnt down and the bloke smoking a pipe in the nude on a llama was seen disappearing into the distance.
