Dust Cover Secure

Has anyone come up with a good way to securely fasten the large dust cover to the optical tube during storage?  Mine falls off when scope is pointed down.  I've been thinking about Velcro, but would like other ideas.

You can buy Velcro that is self-adhesive. Use only the soft part, cut it into strips and stick it on the outside diameter of the cover as necessary to get a snug fit between scope and cover.
