I've recently purchased a Meade EXT90 telescope and I need advice on overcoming a problem of viewing  using my 9.7mm & 25mm eyepieces.  I wear Varifocal glasses and my left eye has a +2 Dioptre correction built into my Varifocals.  When using either my camera or binnoculars it's no problem because I can make an adjustment on the equipment which enables me get a good view.  How do I compensate when using my telescope eyepieces, if I wear my glasses I seem to get a restricted field of view because I cant get close enough.

How do other spectacle wearers overcome these problems??

Best wishes

Mike

Do you have an astigmatism? If not take your galsses off and focus to your liking. The only time you need to wear glasses when viewing through a scope would be if you have and astigmatism. You can also go with an eyepiece with a higher eye relief such as a 32mm or and ultra wide angle and use a barlow to get the magnification. The only time I have needed those high magnifications is when viewing planets. The rest I stick with the 32mm.
