I am curious as to how one is supposed to pack the scope and tripod in the bag?
Anyone used the bag to transport the scope yet?
Thanks

I bought a Meade tripod bag at one point early on.  After purchase, I figured out that the one a bought was actually designed for an EXT tripod and not the one for my DS-2114AT-TC.

I did use it some to stick the tripod in, with the upper end and pan sticking out.  I would normally set the mount and optical tube in the back seat of my car and have the tripod in the bag just to protect the legs from getting scratched up.

Any more, I just leave the 2114 set up with eyepieces in place, ready to take it out in the back yard on any whim.  I normally leave the legs short enough to let me sit in a plastic lawn chair.  I can last about twice as long that way.

I am not sure if the bag you have is at all like the one you have.  If yours is different, I am interested in finding out about it.

The DS2114 that is sold at Sam's Club comes with the carry bag I guess it's a new item. Undecided
