Meade drivers disk

Hi All,

I bought one of these fantastic scopes secondhand.  The scope didn't come with the Meade CD in the box.

Where can I get a replacement?  I'm in Australia, so popping in to my closest Meade dealer can mean a long journey.

Is there an iso disk image of the software on the disk?

I have the disk from my lx200gps and from a DSI2pro that I have bought, is the software on those as well?

What software are you looking for?
The scope has the operating system installed and if you want to up date the scope you can download the Tatest version from the meade site.

Thanks for the reply.

What I'm after is the windows drivers from the disk.

I've installed the USB to serial drivers, but are there specific ones for the RCX?

When I plug in the scope to the computer I get an Unknown device type error from Windows.

Im not sure if they are scope specific.
See if this link helps you out as im not to familiar with the RCX series but this should get you running.

Hi Mark,

Problem solved.  It' wasn't the drivers after all, it's a dodgy USB connection.  I ran the USB directly from my PC to the scope USB-B port using a long cable I have previously used for imaging on an LX200GPS.  It seems that this doesn't supply enough power for the internal hub in the base of the scope.  If I run off a shorter lead from a four port hub next to the pier all's well.  This also forced Windows  to remap the com ports and install the drivers for that port.  It may have already installed drivers for another USB to serial adapter I have for the original port.
