Meade 2120 - retrofit with autostar?

I have a 10" Meade 2120 bought off of Ebay some years ago. Its in great shape, but I would like to look into upgrading the tripod to something that is Autostar capable, or even GPS.

Any ideas? Is this even possible?

Due to the electronics being a lot more advanced the only way to upgrade would be to purchase a new scope.
The designes of the older scopes arnt even close to the same as the new scopes.
