Hi,
Is there a simple formula to calculate the DSI Pro II field of view while using different accessories. I am using a Lx200R 14".
What will be the field of view if I use :
1 - No focal reducer and no diagonal?
2 - A f/3.3 focal reducer and no diagonal?
3 - A f/6.3 focal reducer and no diagonal?
4 - Is it ok. to use a diagonal while imaging?
5 - Is the field of view the same with and without a diagonal?

Hi,
There are several CCD field of view calculators online, you can search Google or Yahoo for them and find one easily. You can also use a program like Starry Night or The Sky to display a field of view indicator for the DSI Pro II and any scope you have it attached to, this way you can zoom in on your intended target and actually see how the framing will look.
I suppose it's OK to use a diagonal while imaging but it will cost you a little light gathering ability as no diagonal I know of produces 100% reflectability. The FOV should be very close to the same with or without the diagonal.
Best,
