I purchased a MySky in February 08 and the volume up switch would not toggle and after inserting different batteries several times the unit would never turn on.  I sent it back to Amazon and have been watching the reviews at Amazon which are quite awful. 

I think this is a wonderful product idea and I would like to purchase one that I would not have to immediately send to Meade. 

Does any one know when Meade will make changes to improve the robustness of the switches and of the software?

The software is constantly being improved at this time.
As for any hardware issues I would contact Meade customer support and see what they have to say oon this.
