On April 21st, Meade gave an "investors' conference call" about the selling
of the Weaver and Redfield divisions to outside interests.

In that release is a phone number you can call to hear a recording of the call.

In that call Meade's Prez revealed that an upgraded, new-features, less expensive
MySky II is in the works for release this year (stay on the line until the questions
actually start flowing to hear all of the traffic).

Other items of note:
(a) the entire ETX line is being re-worked to new designs.
( the LX400 (ne' RCX400) is on track, expected in-stores before 2009

I hope Meade is smart enough to start making their offerings compatible with Apple computers.

They are losing business.
