Can any of the Meade folks on this forum comment as to whether or not Starlock, in some form or another, will be offered as an accessory that I can add to an existing telescope?

At the present time there are no plans to offer the StarLock as a stand-alone accessory.

What about the present time?

It's been over 3 years since this question was asked so I'm guessing the answer is a resounding NO!

Real pity...I would have thought what with the many LX200/400 and maybe LX90 'scopes out there it would be a lucrative market for Meade to pander to.

I mean the hardware is already done and they write the software...how difficult could it be (says the non-technical programmer) <chuckle>

I would certainly be first in the queue to pay my money to get StarLock on my LX200GPS.

I would have thought Meade would have brought this to market for their LX200 series at least by now.

Ah well...another opportunity lost.
