Marc,
I want to use the smartguider 2
that is a camera and unit to send signals (st4) to my LX90 mount
wath I want to know is ,do I have to change settings in the autostar handbox (guiding speed)or so
Do I need to change the aggressivnes of the atostar ....etcetr.
I think this toy works a little bit like the old #909 of meade
Thanks

If using the camera and software for guiding via st4 port you dont need to change a thing in the hand paddle.
The software will make the changes for you as in it will automatically switch to guide speed.
I use PHD guide for guiding and have great success with it.
If you need further help please feel free to ask.

Marc,
Thanks
I have worket with PHD but I get alway's the same error here " mount is not moving enough " after 65 steps
How comes ?
I'm using a usb to com cable to go out of my pc, but nothing is working, instead if I use the Autostar suite I can move my L/R/U/Down ,and my mount responds to it
Wath do I do wrong here ?
is it the settings in PHD ? or wath ?
And thanks again for responding ,,I still know you from 5 years ago (to get the Meade certificates with Chuck and the others on the autostar suite net (for DSI pictures )I stoped for 5 years and started again ;-)
Thanks

Yes you have some settings wrong in PHD if the mount isnt moving evough.
Try adding a longer step time in the settings. Also make sure scope is well balanced.
It would be hard for me to give any settings as all scopes are different but try
Ra aggressiveness 50 max ra duration 2000 search area 20 calibration step 1500 to 2000 dec guide i use south only max dec duration 1000 to 1500 and then adjust from there.
