I am considering buying a LS8 . I have a couple of TeleVue Ethos 2 inch eyepieces that I would like to use with the LS-8.......is that possible. .

Yes, you can. The scope comes with a 1 1/4 inch diagonal. You will have to purchase a 2 inch diagonal to use your eyepieces. You can either purchase a 2 inch diagonal with the SCT mounting ring built into it, or buy an adapter that threads onto the rear of the scope that you can slide a more conventional slip fit diagonal into.
Meade's two inch diagonal is the slip fit type, requiring the adapter. Sometimes, they can be bought together as a package.
Meade just finished a special where you could buy the adapter, their high end diagonal, and a 24mm ultrawide 5000 series eyepiece for about $160. I purchased the deal. It arrived and just put the adapter and diagonal on my LS 8 this evening.
